The Land of Fun in the Sun was a hot, gray place this summer, full of doubt and heartache. As it turns out, prospects in the virtual world have proven naught. In times a despair, a princess sometimes will turn to deep, dark destinations of solace. It is curious what one may find at the top of one’s mountain of agony. Sometimes the last person on earth is the only person you really need to listen.
After a long and rocky journey upwards, a princess will come to a point where what lies before her and what lies behind her are equal. What is a princess to do? Fall forward? Or fall backwards? Perhaps the last person on earth really has the answers.
“When we first met, did you ever think it would come to this?”
“You’re life or mine?”
“My life.”
“The world hits us in different ways, if you had stayed close by, I guarantee you it would have been different, but it was best that you left, you needed to find you, and you are much better off. The last person on earth is no match for you.”
“Do you think I deserved it?”
“Do any of us deserve anything that happens to us? Perhaps, perhaps not, but we will never know until the end.”
“The end…I wish I knew my end.”
“I wish you wouldn’t talk so. You have a chance to make something of yourself. You have a chance to find your prince.”
“I thought I had found him…once, twice, maybe three times.”
“None of them were your prince.”
“Why?”
“Because they let you go.”
“Even you.”
“I did it for you. I did it for your own good.”
“Thats what they all said.”
As the sun goes down, the winds will blow, the moon will light, and the tears may fall. And each night is spent alone reflecting, alone and cold. With the key to her heart worn close, who will ever hope to take it from her long enough to unlock the the treasure within? Who will dare…as of now, no one.
