It’s a cruel and lonely summer in the land of fun in the sun. Unfortunately for this princess without a crown and without a castle and even without a knight it’s not so fun. Trying to pass the hours as a working girl can only go so far. The summer classes in the kingdom of academia don’t occupy enough space in the mind either, not for this princess anyway. As for the world of books, no money to buy more and re-reading the same ones over and over has become pretty boring. Perhaps this is a good time to reflect on the past year.

So far this princess has acquired one broken engagement, one rebound relationship, 3 and a half marriage proposals (all of which were rejected), and a few extra unwanted suitors. It seems love is difficult to come by these days. After relocating further south where temperatures and temperaments were supposedly warmer this princess found that she wasn’t the only one with this idea. With the amount of eligible women populating the area in search of knowledge and Prince Charming, the amount of eligible bachelors has declined greatly. This drought has forced some of us to turn to more virtual means. But sometimes a princess will find what she is looking for in the most unlikely of places.
